How to add Isles of Emberdark to Spotify
Like many who were fortunate enough to get Isles of Emberdark as part of the Words of Radiance bundle, I was thrilled to finally get my hands on my copy today.
My day got even better when I posted my hype to Instagram and had it shared by the man himself.
Afterwards, I got a whole bunch of people asking me how I got Isles of Emberdark on Spotify, so here's how I did it:

Step 1: Download your MP3
From the Backerkit page that was emailed to you, grab the MP3s from the list of digital editions
You'll download a zip file containing all of the chapters individually. What's nice is Dragonsteel has encoded them with the book cover, which looks nice in the next step.
Step 2: Get them to your desired device
Specifically with Spotify, you can only listen to the local audio (spoilers) you have on your device, so get the MP3s to your phone or computer you wish to listen to them.
Step 3: Spotify local files
Follow these instructions from Spotify for your specific devices needs, but for Android, you go to your "Settings and Privacy" tab, then "Apps and Devices", then activate "Local audio files".
For me, it pulled straight in from my downloads folder, and now I can listen to Isles of Emberdark using Spotify.
Pros, Cons and Alternatives
So why bother, especially when July 10th is when it will hit Audible and other major platforms?
Spotify integrates with Android Auto and has a cleaner user interface than other programs (in my opinion).
While it won't have the features of a modern audiobook player, like saving your place or recalling your progress, it's certainly good enough to hold me over.
I do the majority of my listening in the car, so having an easy to use solution is a high priority to me.
Alternatively, you could use your own phones storage to play the MP3 directly, or use another service like VLC.
There also might be away to let Google Drive be the local source for Spotify, making getting them on other devices slightly easier, but I haven't tested this.
