Making Maps for the Cosmere RPG: Part 7, Alethi Winehouse

The time has finally come - the end of the seven days of Making Maps for the Cosmere RPG. For our final map I picked a submission from the subreddit soley based on the user name: /u/ElayneTrakand, a reference to the Wheel of Time, the book series that started my journey towards Brandon Sanderson.

Their idea was the winehouse from Words of Radiance where Adolin and Shallan have their first date, a great suggestion. I like this location because it was it was a winehouse that doubled as a stormshelter, a location that can fit in to almost any Cosmere RPG campaign.

I added in some specific details to use when running this map:

• There is outdoor patio area for guests of the Winehouse to watch the incoming Storms from.
• Downstairs, there are men's and women's Stormshelters, a detail mentioned in the books about the particular winehouse Adolin and Shallan were at, but something that was probably a cultural norm in many Alethi winehouses.
• In addition to the storage room and wine cellar, I added a servants entry to each of the Stormshelter rooms, allowing for servants to cater to the Lighteyed guests using the shelter without having to risk the more exposed main hall.

While this is inspired from a specific winehouse from the books, feel free to place it in just about any location around Roshar.

Journey's end

Well that was... alot. Seven maps in seven days isn't that difficult, especially with a tool like Inkarnate, but doing so while also recording and producing videos and articles can be cumbersome. I did really enjoy it however, and I'm happy with the result - lots of new maps for the community to use, for free! I will likely do something like this in the near future.
