The new Invested In the Cosmere .com

It’s been two years since I started Invested in the Cosmere, and I think it's high time for a fresh coat of paint and a little tuning under the hood.

I started this site back in December of 2023 with what I thought at the time was a very clever Cosmere theory about the Iriali. I not only wrote up an article for the site, but also posted the theory on Reddit. The response was lukewarm, and even got shot down by none other than /u/LewsTherinTelescope, which is victory onto itself.

Looking back, there were more holes than got noticed in the article, but that might just be because we’ve received so much info on the Iriali since then. It’s hard to tell.

The point is that I got a taste for sharing my love of deep Cosmere lore, and found that others at least found it passibly interesting.

I’ve found that I always need to have some kind of a creative project in my life to feel fulfilled - in the past that’s been podcasts, multi-year dungeons and dragons campaigns (sometimes that ends up being the same project), and the occasional pizza-focused website. While I’ve seen varying levels of success throughout my previous endeavors, Invested in the Cosmere feels special. It has become the culmination of the best aspects of each of my previous projects merged into.

It also helps that the community has been massively supportive. And for that, I thank you.

I’ve hit a lot of milestones for my channel - none are particularly impressive on the grand scale of massive YouTube channels, but each milestone I hit feels like a massive achievement. I’ve hit over 1,000 subscribers on YouTube, this website gets hundreds of thousands of impressions in search per month, and I’ve had multiple opportunities to meet my fellow Cosmere content creators, and event meet Sanderson himself.

The most important step a man can take. It’s not the first one, is it? It’s the next one. Always the next step, Dalinar.

So what’s next for the site and channel? Where here we are. I moved over from the blogging platform that launched Invested in the Cosmere, Ghost.io, and upgraded to Squarespace.
Ghost is a fantastic platform, but it became too limited for where I wanted to go as a channel.

What Squarespace offers is an aspect to my work that I’ve found quite a bit of you are interested in: my Cosmere RPG resources.

When the Cosmere RPG got announced, originally as the Stormlight RPG, I knew it was something that would change the direction of my channel. The original intent was to be deep-lore video essays. A Cosmere 201 - not bleeding edge theories, but something that took you beyond words on the page and expanded the scope of the Cosmere.

The Cosmere RPG changed a lot for me.

Between previous podcasts and personal homebrew campaigns, I’ve spent untold hours developing various types of content for Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition. I have found great joy in bringing that creative development over to the Cosmere RPG, making maps, expanding rulesets, and writing campaigns and one shots.

This new website gives me a platform to deliver that content to you in a way that’s user friendly and scalable. With the online storefront (free, per Brotherwise and Dragonsteel policies of course), I am able to offer you a seamless way to download resources, and a clean presentation to find what you need.

I have a lot planned for 2026, but I am keeping my “I do what I feel creatively inspired to do right now” mentality when it comes to content. Here is what’s on my mind right now:

  • Game Master blog, answering submitted questions

  • Deep dive on Radiant orders for players

  • Mistborn! That’s coming out this year

  • More Cosmere Gaming content

  • Lots of lore videos, with a heavy focus on battles throughout the Cosmere and some of my favorite characters

  • A highly produced (edited, scored and SFX) limited run actual play podcast

Maybe I’ll do all of those things, maybe I’ll do one of them. Time will tell.
